Project Summary
For the UK Meat and Food Development Facility, our team supported a robust HVAC equipment package built to handle process-adjacent ventilation demands and tight space control. The solution combined:
a large Daikin Rebel Applied rooftop sized for high airflow and multi-zone control.
a 25‑ton 100% outside-air rooftop with hot gas reheat and leak detection.
a 15‑ton rooftop with power exhaust and economizer controls.
multiple AHRI-certified hot water “booster” coils for distributed heating/reheat needs.
What We Delivered (Highlights)
1) High-Capacity Rooftop — Daikin Rebel Applied (52 Tons)
Daikin Rebel Applied, 52‑ton, high efficiency packaged DX system.
Airflow / Scale: Designed for 10,400 CFM, with a large cabinet platform suited for high-volume applications.
Refrigerant: R‑32.
Controls / Integration: MicroTech IV controls with BACnet MS/TP integration; pressure controls include a building pressure sensor.
Ventilation Strategy: 0–100% economizer with comparative enthalpy control and barometric relief; includes exhaust/return fan configuration and airflow measurement across supply/return/exhaust.
Construction & Durability: Thermally broken double-wall construction and stainless drain pan; high SCCR and corrosion-resistance testing details.
2) Dedicated Outdoor Air / Process Ventilation Support — 100% OA, Hot Gas Reheat
Daikin Package System, 25‑ton configured with 100% outside air and no return opening.
Humidity/Temperature Control: Includes modulating hot gas reheat (MHGRH) for discharge-air stability.
Refrigerant + Safety: R‑32 refrigerant plus refrigerant leak detection and a condenser vandal guard.
Controls / BAS: MicroTech controls with BACnet MS/TP; single-zone VAV application.
Filtration: MERV 13 filtration in a 2" only rack.
Electrical / Serviceability: Single disconnect, factory powered GFI, phase voltage monitor.
3) Rooftop with Economizer + Power Exhaust — 15 Tons
Daikin Package System, 15‑ton with 0–100% economizer using comparative enthalpy control and an airfoil power exhaust fan.
Refrigerant: R‑32.
Controls / BAS: MicroTech controls and BACnet MS/TP integration; includes a building pressure sensor.
Filtration: MERV 13 filtration in a 2" only rack.
Hydronic Heating / Reheat Components (Booster Coils)
To support distributed heating and temperature control points, the package also included multiple Daikin Applied hot water “booster” coils , AHRI-certified and documented with performance and dimensional data
