Project Summary
For the Paris Middle/High School renovation, our team supported a comprehensive HVAC upgrade built around Daikin VRV‑IV multi‑zone systems—designed to deliver room‑by‑room comfort control across classrooms, offices, corridors, specialty spaces, and athletic areas—while coordinating packaged rooftop/air‑handling equipment and associated accessories for a cohesive renovation scope.
What We Delivered (Scope Highlights)
1) VRV‑IV Multi‑Zone (Daikin) — Heat Recovery + Heat Pump
11 total Daikin VRV outdoor systems combining heat‑recovery VRV‑IV units and a VRV heat pump unit .
151 indoor units across a mix of form factors (round‑flow sensing cassettes, 4‑way ceiling suspended, ceiling suspended, ducted/concealed ducted, and 2’×2’ cassettes), supporting diverse space needs typical of K‑12 renovations. [
30 branch selector boxes enabling heat‑recovery zoning and simultaneous heating/cooling where required.
2) Controls & Integration Readiness
Centralized/expanded controls noted in the VRV package, including Intelligent Touch Manager (iTM) components and DIII Plus adapters, with BACnet integration capability.
3) Refrigerant Piping / Coordination Considerations (Documented)
System refrigerant: R‑410A with estimated extra refrigerant charge noted for piping.
Supporting HVAC Equipment
To complement the VRV renovation strategy, the overall post‑bid equipment package also included:
Daikin Applied REBEL rooftop units (4) and Vision air handling units (2)
(2) SkyAir systems and (2) mini systems
Associated accessories/ancillaries such as equipment rails/stands, curbs, controls scope items, and miscellaneous mechanical accessories.
