Eastern State Hospital

Canariis Corporation recently built a variable speed triplex Primary Chilled Water HVAC Package and a variable speed triplex Primary Heating Water HVAC Package for Eastern State Hospital. This project was completed in 2013 and located at University of Kentucky’s Coldstream Research Campus. The $129 million facility replaces the 185 year old hospital and approximately 300,000 sq ft. Each unit includes spring isolation, aluminum tread plate base and monodirectional hoist and trolley systems. Both units feature Johnson Controls. The entire hydronic system was completely hydro-static, performance, electrical, efficiency and control tested before leaving the factory. Most importantly, it meets the highest green building and performance measures-LEED Certified.
