About the Role

The Director of Manufacturers will oversee key manufacturer partnerships within the commercial HVAC market. This role is critical to expanding the firm's presence among consulting engineers, mechanical contractors and building owners, while strengthening relationships with leading commercial HVAC manufacturers. The Director will report to the CEO.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a strong background in HVAC sales, manufacturer relations, and channel development. They will support sales engineers in technical presentations, strategic positioning of products, expand product lines, and enhance relationships with key manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute strategic plans to expand sales across all market segments.

· Identify new business opportunities within all market segments.

· Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.

· Lead the introduction and promotion of new products in partnership with manufacturers and sales teams.


Manufacturer Relationship Management

· Serve as the primary liaison between the firm and its represented HVAC manufacturers.

· Manage manufacturer relationships to ensure alignment with company goals.

· Negotiate representation agreements and support with manufacturers.

· Conduct business reviews with manufacturers.

· Communicate market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights.


Leadership & Strategy

· Collaborate with senior leadership on company growth strategy and product portfolio.

· Mentor and support sales and application teams.

· Represent the company at industry trade shows and events.

Requirements

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

· Experience: HVAC or building systems sales, business development, or manufacturer representation.

· Proven track record of developing strategic manufacturer relationships.

· Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and distribution channels.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

· Ability to travel regionally/nationally.
